Tamworth Regional Landcare Association Opens Small Grants for Environmental Initiatives
February 1, 2024
Tamworth, NSW
The Tamworth Regional Landcare Association (TRLA) is excited to announce the opening of small grants for Landcare activities in the Tamworth region, starting February 1, 2024. This initiative aims to support Volunteer Landcare, Grassroots Community groups, and Schools in their efforts to enhance the local environment.
Grants of up to $2,500 are available for activities aligned with the objectives outlined in TRLA's strategic plan. The association is eager
to fund eight successful projects from across the region that contribute to the betterment of our community and environment.
Activities eligible for funding include on-ground works, workshops, field days, educational activities, working bees, and events. TRLA
encourages a diverse range of ideas, welcoming innovative approaches that address environmental challenges and promote community engagement.
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now being accepted. The TRLA Committee will carefully review each submission, selecting projects based on
their alignment with TRLA's mission and the potential benefits to both the environment and the community.
TRLA President, Wayne Chaffey, expressed enthusiasm about the grant opening, stating, "This is a wonderful opportunity for local
organizations, schools, and community groups to take action and make a positive impact on our environment. We look forward to supporting
projects that align with our vision for a sustainable and thriving Tamworth region."
Applicants are encouraged to submit their EOIs before the closing date to be considered for this round of funding. The deadline for
submissions is March 1, 2024.
