As part of our small farms and lifestyle block program, we invite you to come along to our farm water basics workshop.
*Water testing – bring along a water sample for testing
*Designing trough and water systems
*Different trough types
*Water storage
*Trouble shooting and repairs
*Please bring a hat, sunscreen, chair and sturdy shoes

"Ngiyaani" Mini Field Day
Peter and Sarah bought "The most degraded land in the Namoi Valley" in 2007, and you are invited to attend this field day to learn some of the strategies that have helped to bring it back to the beautiful property that it is today.
You will see and learn about Disruptive Adaptive Multi-Paddock Grazing Management; Making, Crushing and Feeding Biochar to Livestock, and Making and Storing Johnson-Su Compost and applying Johnson-Su extract to pasture.
George Truman from Local Land Services and Julian White from Fertile Farms will be attending to add their expertise.
Thm day will start with Registration between 8:30 and 9:00 am , with Morning tea from local bakers at 10:3am - 11:00am, and a "sausage sizzle and chat" for lunch.
Please bring a fold up chair, and don't forget sunscreen, hat and your farm boots.

Friends of Moore Creek Cave Working Bee
3rd Saturday of every month from 8.30am, held at Moore Creek Caves Reserve (end of Maysteers Lane)
Activities which are undertaken at the MCCR working bee include:
- Weeding
- Tree planting
- Tree maintenance
- Native bee hive care
- Seed collecting
- Seed processing
- Propagation & nursery days
- Free local native plant giveaways
- Social morning teas
- Chat with experts on ecology, aboriginal culture of the reserve, bush foods and the environment
